I recently received a new iPad (and case) through a grant I wrote on DonorsChoose. (I absolutely LOVE that website!!!)

I'm always searching for great educational apps that are FREE, appropriate for second grade, and most of all- reinforce a skill I'm teaching in class.  If only I knew how to create my own apps....... 

Anyways, I recently stumbled upon this app.

Free "App" of the Week

Every week, I try to include a FREE educational app in my weekly newsletter.  I introduce the app to my students at the beginning of the week.  When they visit the iPad Center during the week, they have a chance to play that particular app.  At this point in the year, I actually "lock" my iPad so they only have access to play that one app.
